Barabanki: Under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, the process of enrolling children of poor families in convent schools is going on. Due to non-completion of paperwork, 288 children could not be admitted. It is not known when this process will be completed. Parents are compelled to constantly visit the BSA office.

Under the Right of Children to Compulsory Education Act, the first, second and third phases are completed to get admission of 25 percent poor children in private schools. The first phase was completed on 30 March. For the second phase, online applications were taken from April 2 to April 23. The applications were scrutinized on 25 and 26 April. The lottery was taken out on 28 April and from May 5, the children marked in the lottery were to be admitted, but so far not a single child has been admitted. In the second phase, parents of about 321 children had applied. Out of this, the names of 288 children have come in the lottery. Children could not get admission due to non-completion of paperwork. From May 20, all schools will be closed on summer vacation. In such a situation, now the admission of children will be possible only in July.

3rd phase underway

In the third phase, online applications will be taken from May 2 to June 10. There will be verification on June 11 and 13, lottery on June 15 and admission on June 30.

Take this paper during application

Annual income should be less than one lakh. Aadhar card of the parent, birth certificate of the child, caste certificate, residence certificate, photocopy of bank account, photograph of the child will be required. After applying online, it has to be submitted in the Basic Education Office.

The process of getting admission for the second stage children has been completed. From May 18, ordering parents to get admission will start. A copy of this will be sent to the school. Everyone will be admitted before the holiday.
