3 women were in the race for President from NDA: Draupadi Murmu’s name sealed; Know what BJP will get by making a tribal woman leader a candidate

It was first reported that names of three women are being considered in the BJP, including Draupadi Murmu, Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey and UP Governor Anandiben Patel.

Draupadi Murmu is a tribal leader from Odisha. Draupadi Murmu, who was the ninth governor of Jharkhand, has been an MLA from Rairangpur in Odisha. He is the first Odia leader to be made governor. Earlier, she had also been a minister in the BJP-BJD coalition government from 2002 to 2004.

Eye on more than 60 seats of Lok Sabha
It is noteworthy that out of 543 Lok Sabha seats, 47 seats are reserved for ST category. The tribal community has influence in more than 60 seats. A large number of tribal voters are in a decisive position in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh. In such a situation, discussion was going on in the name of tribal. This can also benefit BJP in elections. Because there will be assembly elections in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh within the next one and a half years, which is expected to benefit the BJP politically.

Former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha’s name from opposition
Earlier, the name of Yashwant Sinha, a former BJP veteran and who resigned from TMC, was carried forward on behalf of the opposition for the presidential election candidate. At the same time, the name of a woman, Muslim, Dalit or any personality from South India was being considered in the BJP in the race for Excellency, so that the assembly elections to be held in 2022-23 and the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 could be done easily.

Anusuiya Uikey is originally from Chhindwara and active in politics since 1985 from Madhya Pradesh. He had won the election of MLA from Damua. She has also been a Rajya Sabha MP of BJP. Before joining politics, she has also been a lecturer of economics for three years in the Government College of Chhindwara.

President’s term ends on July 25
Neelam Sanjeev Reddy was sworn in as the 9th President of the country on 25 July 1977. Since then, every time on July 25, a new President has been taking office. Reddy was followed by Giani Zail Singh, R Venkataraman, Shankardayal Sharma, KR Narayanan, APJ Abdul Kalam, Pratibha Patil, Pranab Mukherjee and Ram Nath Kovind on July 25.

Two Presidents of the country have died while in office
There have also been two Presidents in the country, who have died while in the presidency. This includes the third President Zakir Hussain and the seventh President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. Zakir Hussain was the President from 13 May 1967 to 3 May 1969. After his death, Vice President VV Giri was made the acting President.

Similarly, the seventh President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed remained in his office from 24 August 1974 to 11 February 1977. Due to his midway death, BD Jatti had to be made the acting President.

Here is the caretaker president
After the death of President Zakir Hussain, the then Vice President VV Giri was made the acting President. After that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Muhammad Hidayatullah was elected President. Whereas, after the death of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, the then Vice President BD Jatti was made the acting President.

Mamta’s three favorite faces denied
The opposition has named Yashwant Sinha, former Union minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader as its presidential candidate. Sinha then resigned from the Trinamool Congress. For many days the opposition was not getting the presidential candidate.

After NCP chief Sharad Pawar, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, now Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson and former West Bengal governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi has also turned down the opposition’s offer to be the presidential candidate.

Gandhi has made it clear that he will not be the opposition’s presidential candidate. West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee was constantly trying for the presidential candidate, but she could not get success.
