At least seven people were killed in a shooting outside a synagogue on Friday in East Jerusalem, which is part of Israel. Police and medical personnel said the gunman also died at the scene.
“Around 8:30 pm (1830 GMT) this evening, a terrorist arrived at a synagogue on Neve Yaakov Boulevard in Jerusalem and opened fire on several people in the area,” said a police statement.
Police forces immediately reached the spot and engaged the terrorist and killed him.”
A police spokesman told AFP that seven people had been killed.
Police were destroying a white vehicle at the scene, believed to belong to the shooter.

The MDA told AFP at the scene that a total of 10 people were killed, including a 70-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy.
