New Delhi:

The situation due to Corona in China is getting worse day by day. Let us tell you that China had said a week ago that till January 12, about 60 thousand people have died due to Corona. But after the relaxation of the restrictions imposed on Corona in China, now there is a possibility of further increase in this figure.

AFP According to China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), issued a statement saying that 681 such patients admitted to the hospital on Saturday died, whose respiratory system had failed due to corona. Apart from these, 11,977 other patients have also died, who had corona along with different diseases. However, the number of patients who had corona and died at home has not been added to these figures.

Significantly, a report published in Reuters a few days ago said that the infection is expected to increase rapidly in rural areas of China, as millions of people travel to their homes for the Lunar New Year holidays. The Chinese New Year officially begins on January 21, and was known as the biggest annual migration of people before the outbreak of the pandemic.

China abruptly lifted all restrictions last month, and also reopened its borders, after historic protests across the country in late November against the strict coronation of the lockdown.

According to state media, the sudden end of restrictions has put China’s 1.4 billion population at risk of the virus, more than a third of whom live in areas where infections have already peaked.

But a report published in local media outlet Caixin said that Zeng Guang, former chief epidemiologist of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, warned that the worst of the epidemic was not yet over. Zeng was quoted as saying that our priority has been focused on the big cities. And this is the time to focus on rural areas. He said that in rural areas, where medical facilities are relatively poor, large numbers of people are being left out, including the elderly, the sick and the disabled.
