New Delhi (ANI). Congress leader Kirti Azad will leave Congress and join Trinamool Congress on Tuesday. Before the Congress, he had also been in the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was thrown out of the BJP in December 2015. The reason for this was that he had made many allegations against the then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He had targeted Jaitley over irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Seeing this, the BJP showed him the way out of the party.

Let us inform that Kirti Azad has reached Parliament after getting elected from Darbhanga seat of Bihar thrice on BJP ticket. In the year 2014, he contested the election on BJP ticket and won. He joined the Congress in the year 2018 after being expelled from the BJP. It is worth noting that cricketer-turned-politician Kirti Azad was also a part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 1983.

It is also necessary to tell you here that TMC chief Mamata Banerjee is in Delhi since Monday. She is going to meet the acting President of Congress, Sonia Gandhi here. Apart from this, she will also meet PM Narendra Modi. He had also sought an appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. There are different issues of Mamta’s meeting with all of them. His meeting with PM Modi is about expanding the scope of the Border Security Force, while he is to meet Amit Shah on the issue of his leader’s arrest in Tripura. The reason for meeting Sonia Gandhi is somewhere in the upcoming assembly elections.

It is being said that Azad will join TMC only in the presence of Mamata Banerjee. Let us tell you that Mamta had earlier come to Delhi in July when her party won a landslide victory in West Bengal. At that time also he had met PM Modi.
