Admission in Sainik Schools: Apply Online till 26, All India Sainik School Entrance Exam will be held on 9 January 2022

DC Pradeep Dahiya said on Tuesday that online applications have been invited from students willing to take admission in class VI and IX in Sainik Schools in the academic session 2022-23 till October 26, 2021. The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination for admission to these classes will be held on January 9, 2022. For details regarding admission you can login to the website.

DC informed that in the academic session 2022-23, 83 children (73 boys, 10 girls) in class VI in Sainik School Kunjpura (Karnal) and 60 children (50 boys, 10 girls) in Sainik School Rewari will be admitted. The exam for admission to class VI will be of 300 marks while for class 9th it will be of 400 marks and its duration will be 150 and 180 minutes respectively.

He said that in the entrance examination of class VI, Mathematics of 150 marks for the students and test of Intelligence, Language and General Knowledge of 50 marks each would be taken. Similarly, in the ninth class entrance examination, the student will have to give 200 marks in Mathematics, 50-50 marks in English, Intelligence, General Science and Social Studies test. He told that the date of birth of the student who wants to get admission in class VI is April 1, The date of birth of the student should be between 1st April, 2007 to 31st March 2009 for admission in class IX and between 2010 to 31st March, 2012. The fee for admission has been fixed at Rs 550 for General / OBC / Defense / Ex-Defense category and Rs 400 for SC / ST category students.

He said that while applying online, the candidate will have to upload the photo, signature, left hand thumb impression, certificates of birth, residence, caste etc. He said that the admission of the student in Sainik School will be done purely on the basis of merit list after interview and medical test.
