Kabul, ANI. Four children were killed and another injured in two explosions in Afghanistan. At around 4:15 pm local time in the capital, Kabul, a bomb exploded in a civilian vehicle in a busy traffic circle in Karta Parwan area of ​​Police District 2, causing no casualties. Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosti gave this information on Twitter.

Taliban security forces have cordoned off the area as a precaution. The explosion covered the sky with thick smoke and damaged several vehicles, Xinhua news agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying. Earlier on Thursday, four children were killed and one was injured when some explosives detonated on the outskirts of the taluk, the capital of northern Takhar province.

The exact target of the explosion remained unknown. So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. In Afghanistan, Islamic State (IS)-linked militants have carried out several bombings in Kabul and elsewhere since the Taliban took over.

Since the Taliban government came to power in Afghanistan, the country has been in a delicate situation. The news of explosions keeps coming from different parts of the country every day. On Friday, a case of horrific explosion was reported from eastern Afghanistan. The blast took place during prayers at a mosque in Spin Boldak district of Nangarhar province. Two people were killed and 17 injured in the blast.
