Islamabad:

These days the former PM of Pakistan is again seen reading ballads in praise of India. Actually this time Imran Khan was seen praising India for buying subsidized oil from Russia despite “US pressure”. He said his government was working to achieve this with the help of an independent foreign policy. Along with this, he took a jibe at the Pakistan Muslim League (N)-led government and said that the current government is running like a headless chicken.

Imran Khan’s reaction came after the Indian government cut the price of petrol by Rs 9.5 per liter and diesel by Rs 7 per liter. Imran Khan wrote in a tweet that despite being part of the Quad, India bought oil from Russia at concessional rates to give relief to the public despite pressure from the US. This is what our government was working to achieve with the help of an independent foreign policy.

Imran Khan said that his government wanted to take similar action to provide relief to the people, but “Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq succumbed to external pressure to change power.” The former Pakistani PM tweeted, “Pakistan’s interest was the most important for our government, but unfortunately local MI Jafars and Mir Sadiq succumbed to external pressure for change of power and they are now like a headless chicken in the economy. Running the country together.”
