In fact, a 27-year-old Mahadalit woman from a village under Maheshkhunt police station area was gang-raped by two youths of the village. The victim told that on June 18, late at 10.30 pm, she slept in the house. The husband had gone to work as a tent in a wedding. During this, Raju Sah, son of Bhudev Sah of the village and Manish Kumar, son of late Arun Sharma, raped alternately at the point of a pistol. During this, both said that if I complain in the police station, I will kill myself.

Here, the victim’s husband told that on June 19, the village head representative and sarpanch informed the representatives and public representatives about the incident. Panchayat’s Panch has fixed the date of Panchayati on 21st June. On the appointed day, a monetary fine was imposed on the accused youths by the Panch. But he refused to give it. After this, the victim filed an application in the police station and sought justice. The accused youth are absconding.

Here, Panchayat head representative Ashok told that Panchayat was done in the rape case. Where a fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed on an accused youth. While another youth was fined Rs 25,000. But the victim did not accept the verdict.
