New Delhi, PTI. Airtel Tariffs Hike: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has announced an increase of 20 to 25 percent in several pre-paid tariff plans on Monday. This has led to an increase in the price of tariff voice plans, unlimited voice plans and data top-up. The price of Airtel’s entry level tariff voice plan has increased by about 25 percent. Whereas the unlimited voice bundle plan has increased by up to 20 percent.

What was the reason for the tariff hike?

Clarifying on the increase in pre-paid tariff plan by Bharti Airtel, it was said that the company always wants to keep the balance between Rs 200 and 300 to the user (ARPU) on mobile average revenue. So that the company can get reasonable return on capital. Such a business model will help the company maintain its financial health. The company said that such ARPU level will also help the company to invest in network and spectrum. The advantage of this will be that it will help Airtel to roll out 5G network in the country. For this, the company has decided to implement Airtel’s tariff plan from November 2021 this month. The new changes can be implemented from November 26.

What happened in the recharge plan

If you talk about the recharge plan, then now you will have to pay Rs 99 for Airtel’s Rs 79 plan. This plan comes with a validity of 28 days. However, the company claims that 50 percent more talk-time will be available in this plan. Its voice tariff charge will be 1 paise per second.
