Amid speculations that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will exit from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on June 23 announced that the Sharad Pawar-led party will be part of the MVA alliance. Briefing the media, the Deputy CM said, “The MVA will be there for five years. This is our stand. We have always been there for the MLAs. We have resolved all their questions. Jayant Patil, Balasaheb Thorat and I have taken up the issue ourselves. I am addressing. The government will remain stable. All MLAs should work in harmony. I have not interfered in the work of MLAs.”

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut earlier admitted that the party may consider walking out of the MVA if the MLAs return and have a face-to-face dialogue with them. The NCP leader said, “I will call the CM and ask him why Sanjay Raut did this. Did Raut make this statement only to bring back the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs? I will discuss Sanjay Raut’s statement with the CM. “
