The Bharatiya Janata Party has changed its strategy in Punjab. BJP will no longer include Congress leaders surrounded by allegations of corruption in the party. That is why when Captain Amarinder Singh joined the BJP on Tuesday and merged his party PLC and gave the list of ministers of Punjab, the BJP dropped some names.

The list includes the names of former Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana KP Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni and Captain K Khas and former cabinet minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. Dharamsot’s name is associated with the post-matric scholarship scam, while being the Forest Minister, his name was also associated with the cutting of trees to taking commission in the purchase of tree guards.

Vigilance registered a case against him and arrested him and he also went to jail. He later got orders from the High Court for his release on bail. Former Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni’s name was related to the misappropriation of sanitizer during the Corona period, purchase of wellness center goods without approval. However, no action has been taken by the Punjab government against Soni so far.

Apart from this, the name of former Speaker of the Assembly Rana KP Singh did not directly appear in the corruption case, but the BJP has also removed his name from the list. According to party sources, KP accompanied Captain to Delhi to join the BJP, but after Captain’s meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, the names of KP Rana along with Soni and Dharamsot were dropped from the list.

According to party sources, the BJP has changed its strategy and has decided not to include leaders who have any corruption case or are facing serious allegations. In alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal, the BJP’s stature has been like a younger brother, but it has not been accused of corruption. In Punjab, the BJP is now preparing to contest the elections alone.

That’s why she doesn’t want to taint the party with corruption. During the preparations for joining the BJP, the two-time Chief Minister of Punjab and the three-time Punjab Congress leader, it was discussed for a long time that many former Congress leaders can also join the BJP, but there is no big deal of Congress with the Captain. The face did not join the BJP.
