New Delhi, Pretr. American e-commerce company Amazon now wants to end the dispute with Future Group. Sources said it has asked Future Group to withdraw its complaint filed against it with the Competition Commission of India (CCI). Sources also said that Amazon had also held a meeting with executives of Kishor Biyani-controlled Future Group two weeks ago and sought compensation for the Reliance Retail-Future Group derailment. However, Amazon has denied the matter of ending the dispute by taking compensation.

Sources aware of this entire development said that in the meeting, Amazon had also indicated to settle the matter out of court. For this, it has put a condition to withdraw the FEMA law violation complaint filed with the CCI from the Future Group. The issue of compensation to Amazon in case of its withdrawal from the matter was also discussed. It is noteworthy that Future Group had done a deal to sell most of its business to Reliance Retail last year for Rs 24,713 crore. But Amazon has challenged this deal in various forums and the matter is currently in the Supreme Court.
