Rahul Gandhi is talking about uniting the country through the ‘Bharat Jodo’ yatra, but he is not able to save the Congress from breaking up. On Wednesday, another leader of Rahul Gandhi broke ties with the Congress. Former Union Minister AK Antony’s son and Congress leader Anil Antony has resigned from the party. Anil Antony left the party a day after opposing the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Modi. Anil alleged that he was being sent threats and hate messages.
After quitting the Congress, Anil Antony alleged that he received threat calls and hate messages throughout the night. In a conversation with ANI regarding the resignation, Anil Antony said, ‘I have been associated with the Congress all my life. My father has been with the party for the last 6 decades. Despite coming from such a background, what happened in the last 24 hours, especially from certain corners of the Congress, has pained me a lot. I think this is a right decision.

Anil Antony made serious allegations
Anil Antony said, ‘After I tweeted, I started receiving threat calls and messages. It was very disturbing. Rahul ji is giving the message of love, but he (the protestors) is behaving like this. This is my personal decision. I hope he will accept my resignation. AK Antony’s son Anil further said,
Many people and youth like Congress, but in the last few years many senior leaders and young talent have left Congress. Where I come from, I don’t think these are the people I should be working with.

BJP’s reaction on Anil Antony’s resignation
BJP has also reacted to Anil Antony’s resignation from Congress. Recently, Jaiveer Shergill, who came to BJP from Congress, has supported Anil Antony. He said, ‘The one who has self-respect, who talks about India’s integrity, talks about strengthening India’s integrity, can no longer remain in the Congress party. The truth is that only the Congress is being divided by the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Jaiveer Shergill added,
On one hand, Rahul Gandhi talks about opening a love shop and on the other hand, the court of his sycophants is determined to put a lock on the Congress. The truth is that only those who give statements in the interest of Pakistan, in the interest of China and in the interest of tarnishing the image of India, who talk anti-national, can remain in the Congress party.
