Now most of the smartphone companies release updates for their latest devices, so that the devices can be safe and work better. However, the update is not released for older devices. Regarding this, the European Union had asked Apple and Samsung in September to release updates for each smartphone for seven years, but both the companies have not yet taken any step regarding this. Meanwhile, Netherlands-based smartphone maker Fairphone has shown the mirror to Samsung and Apple by releasing an update for its six-year-old device.

Android 10 beta update released

According to Fairphone, the company has released a beta update of Android 10 for its six-year-old device Fairphone 2. It is being speculated that the company will release Android 10 stable update for users from the beginning of next year. Let us know that in 2015, the company rolled out the update of Android 5 Lollipop for Fairphone 2.

Specifications of Fairphone 2

Fairphone 2 flaunts a 5-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. In this, Corning Gorilla Glass has been used to protect the screen. This phone has quad core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Apart from this, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera will be available in the smartphone. Talking about other specifications, connectivity features like 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have been provided in the device with 2420mAh battery.

Fairphone 2 price

The company had kept the price of Fairphone 2 at 529 Euro i.e. around Rs 38,000. This smartphone is not available for sale.
