Jagran Correspondent, Udhampur: Students of Army Public School (APS) Udhampur have created history by winning the runner-up trophy in All APS National Level English Debate Competition. Under the guidance of Principal of the school Sanjeev Kumar, the students have achieved another achievement for the institute.
There was a tough competition among all the APS Schools under the Northern Command of the Indian Army to participate in the national level competition. In which APS Udhampur got the first position by performing best. The national level competition was organized under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWIs), New Delhi. The competition was hosted by APS Shankar Vihar in a virtual manner on the Zoom web platform. A total of seven APS schools including APS Udhampur, APS Mathura, APS Delhi Cantt, APS Mhow, APS Fazilka, APS Bangalore, APS Barrackpore participated and represented various commands. The subject of debate was entrepreneurship (job seekers versus job creators) myth or reality. The runner up in the competition, in the English debate team of APS Udhampur, Sakshi Gupta of class XII presented her views in favor and Krishna Rathod of class XI expressed her views in opposition. At the same time, class XI master Ishaan Pandey spoke as an interjector. The speakers were very candid while participating in the competition. Who presented his views very clearly. The team was guided by Rashmi Kandpal Pandey and Meenakshi Sambyal of the English Department.
