Arrested in Amritsar for robbery from cloth trader

The local police has solved the robbery case of an elderly businessman who arrived from Anandpur Sahib to buy clothes from Amritsar. Two accused were seen in the CCTV camera at the time of the robbery. Those whom the police have succeeded in catching. At present, the officials are not confirming this, but both the arrested accused are residents of Sultanwind Road.

According to the information, the police got information about the accused only from the CCTV footage. When the police started scanning the CCTVs installed around the incident site, the accused were clearly visible in them. With the help of CCTV cameras, the police reached the house of the accused, connecting them hard. CCTV was seen going towards Sultanwind Road. After which the police started getting information about the accused from their informers. After which arrests could be made only three days after the incident. One of the accused caught is said to be from the cloth market itself.

Jagjivan Singh Billa had reached Amritsar on Sunday to buy clothes from Anandpur. He was walking on the back side of Bharwan da Dhaba in the streets of lawyers. As soon as they reached the small street, two robbers caught hold of them and snatched the bags and fled. The bag contained Rs 5 lakh. But this act of the accused was caught on CCTV.
