crimes against hindu girls are increasing in pakistan
Abduction and forced conversion of young Hindu girls in Pakistan has become a major problem in the interior of Sindh. Such crimes continue to be reported in these areas, including Thar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Ghotki and Khairpur areas, which have a sizeable Hindu population. Most of the members of the Hindu community living in these areas are laborers.
Earlier in June last year too, a teenage Hindu girl told a local court that she was forcibly converted to Islam and married to a Muslim man. Also, in March last year, three Hindu girls – Satran Od, Kavita Bhil and Anita Bhil – were abducted, converted to Islam and married to Muslim men within eight days.
In another case, Pooja Kumari was brutally shot dead outside her house at Rohri in Sukkur on March 21 last year. According to the information received, a Pakistani man wanted to marry her but she refused. A few days later he and two of his accomplices shot and killed him.
Let us tell you that not only young girls but also old Hindu women have been victims of kidnapping and forced conversion in Pakistan. Ghori Kohli, a mother of four, was abducted from Khipro in Sindh and it was later learned that she had converted to Islam and married her abductor, Ejaz Marri.
