Nine-time champion Djokovic could not play the Australian Open last time due to not getting the Corona vaccine. His visa was canceled on his arrival here and he was sent back.

Fourth seed Djokovic will face Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena in the first round on Monday. World number one Iga Swiatek will play Germany’s Julie Niemeyer. Poland’s Swiatej reached the semi-finals here in 2022.
