It is noteworthy that with the aim of reducing the malnutrition among children and the mortality rate of pregnant women, nutrition awareness campaign was started with the start of cycle rally from Collectorate on September 1.

This campaign will run across the district till September 30. So that people can become aware and become malnutrition free. Under the Nutrition Month program, children, women and adolescent girls are being made aware by adopting various activities about the diseases caused due to lack of nutrition. In Anganwadi center number 72 under Deoria Panchayat In the organized nutrition awareness program, the teams of Piramal Foundation gave detailed information about the locally grown food items to the villagers present in the program.

It was also told that nutrients are found in locally grown food items, by consuming which one can get complete nutrition. In the program, the District Social Welfare Officer conducted baby shower and Annaprashan of the eligible beneficiary. Along with this, everyone present in the program also administered the oath of awareness about nutrition.
