New Delhi, Jnn. Sooryavanshi, the first major release after the second wave of the pandemic, has completed 20 days at the box office when it opened at the cinema halls and did exceptionally well during this period. Now going forward, Sooryavanshi will have to compete with John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate 2, which released today, and Salman Khan’s final – The Final Truth, which is going to release tomorrow. However, even before this, Sooryavanshi has given solid ground to the expectations of the audience to return to the theatres.

On 24 November, Sooryavanshi collected 1.56 crores on the twentieth day of its release. Running in the third week, the film has made a net collection of 183.75 crores at the domestic box office in 20 days and has registered its name in the top grosser films of Akshay Kumar. Sooryavanshi is Akshay’s fifth highest grosser film. The film, which released on November 5, took an opening of 26.29 crores, while collected 77.08 crores in the opening weekend. The film collected 120.67 crores in the first week and made a net collection of 166.23 crores in two weeks.

Satyamev Jayate 2 and final clash in the fourth week

In the third week, there was Bunty Aur Babli 2 in front of Sooryavanshi, which released on November 19, but Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer film could not give much challenge to Sooryavanshi. Now in the fourth week, Suryavanshi will face the challenge of John Abraham’s film Satyamev Jayate 2 and Salman Khan’s last – The Final Truth.

Satyamev Jayate 2 directed by Milap Zaveri has hit the theaters today (25 November). The film has been launched on around 2500 screens across the country, while the last one will hit the theaters tomorrow i.e. on November 26. Both are mass entertainer films. Therefore, the trade hopes that like Sooryavanshi, these films will also bring the audience to the theatres. After 2019, Salman will return to the big screen with Aakhri – The Final Truth. Salman’s previous film Radhe was released on Gplex under the pay-per-view model.
