Meerut, Jn. District level story telling competition was organized at District Education and Training Institute Mawana Khurd on Thursday, in which the teachers of primary and upper primary schools of the district narrated stories in interesting ways through various teaching aids and stories on our theme. Bhavya Vashistha won the competition. While Renu Teotia secured the second position.

The program was started by lighting the lamp by Rajesh Shriwas Principal, District Education and Training Institute, Meerut. Naresh Kumar, in-charge of the program, described the usefulness of the story and the positive effects of sports on our health and said that sports is an integral part of our life.

Training in-charge Poonam Garg described the story as a powerful medium of language knowledge and expression. Dr. Rajeshwar Dayal Sharma, retired spokesperson, who was included in the jury, said that sports inspire us to move forward.

Karan Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Sports, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, threw light on the importance of sports and the specialty of story in our lives. Kiranpal Singh, Principal of Jawahar Inter College, inspired him to keep striving to develop the art of storytelling. There was special cooperation of all the DIET faculty members in the program.

Sarurpur: Under the road safety awareness campaign in Sanjay Gandhi PG College, a poster competition was organized in the Faculty of Arts on Thursday under the conduct of Dr. Ritu, in which the students were motivated to follow the traffic rules made on the road with the help of posters. In the competition, Rahatnuma got first, Sweety got second and Vinit Talian got third place. Dr. Virendra Singh Yadav, Dr. Pratima Yadav, Dr. Neeraj Kumari, Dr. Anita etc. were present.
