The Aam Aadmi Party, which has formed the government in Delhi and Punjab, has fielded mayor candidates in all the municipal corporations of Madhya Pradesh. Rani Vishwakarma was declared the official candidate from Bhopal. Rani along with husband Radheshyam Vishwakarma had submitted the nomination on June 18 and started campaigning. Meanwhile, on the evening of June 20, he withdrew his nomination. This information came to the ‘AAP’ leaders on Tuesday afternoon. District President Reena Saxena reached the Collector’s office. He took information from Deputy Collector Nisha Bangre regarding withdrawal of his name.

Due to lack of communication with Vishwakarma, it could not be known why Rani withdrew the nomination.
