The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized seat sharing with its old ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) for the Tripura Assembly elections. Now the party has started preparing for the election campaign.
The Tripura unit of BJP has also started gearing up for the assembly election campaign to be held on February 16. As a result, the Tripura Legislative Assembly has released the list of its 40 star campaigners for the elections. The names of PM Modi, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Yogi Adityanath, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hema Malini, Manoj Tiwari, Locket Chatterjee are prominently included in the list of star campaigners for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections in Tripura. .
Along with this, many more veteran leaders have been included in the list of election campaign. Announcing the alliance, Chief Minister Manik Saha said that BJP will contest on 55 seats. The chief minister will contest from Bardovali (city), the seat he had won in the bypolls held last year. Earlier in Delhi, the BJP released the first list of 48 candidates for the Tripura Assembly elections, in which 11 women including Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik have been fielded.
