Bettiah. The 67th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission was concluded on Sunday in a peaceful atmosphere at 28 centers in the city. Out of total 16 thousand 650 candidates, 9 thousand 204 candidates appeared in one shift examination which lasted from 12 o’clock to 2 o’clock. Whereas, 7 thousand 446 candidates did not participate in the examination. Zonal magistrates, zonal police officers, police personnel, static magistrates, observers and flying squad teams were deployed for the free examination. A thorough screening was done before the entry of the candidates at the examination centres. During this, any type of electronic gadget, bag, chit-part etc. were prevented from entering inside.
Candidates were allowed to carry only the admit card, pen or test related material. Earlier, Section 144 was imposed around the examination center, due to which no outsider was allowed to wander around. There the successful of the examination
Necessary guidelines were given regarding operation. DM Kundan Kumar had said in clear words that the examination has to be conducted in a malpractice-free environment and any laxity in it will not be tolerated. District Education Officer Rajnikant Praveen said that all the magistrates and other officials deputed in the examination played an important role in the successful conduct of the examination.
Matching of candidates with admit card and identity card
The candidates appearing in the BPSC examination were allowed to enter inside after thorough search. After matching the admit card and photo identity card of the candidates at the main gate of all the centers and after the security check, the entry was given inside. The magistrates and police officers posted at the centers checked each and every examinee at the gate. Woman
Women magistrates, women police officers were deployed at the centers for examination and frisking of the candidates. In order to check the examinees, there was often a long line of candidates at the entrance of all the centers.
Magistrates posted to control the crowd
Police forces were deployed along with the magistrate at the intersections to control the crowd in the city regarding the BPSC examination and to maintain the traffic system of the city for the convenience of the examinees. Due to this, the problem of jam in the bus stand, railway station road did not happen for long.
There was ruckus in the railway station and bus stand
There was an atmosphere of panic in the railway station and bus stand regarding the return of the candidates coming from outside to appear in the BPSC PT examination held in the district. The students leaving the center after giving the examination reached towards the bus stand and railway station. Due to this, there was a rush of examinees till late evening at the railway station and bus stand.
