Sunil Jakhar praised Rahul fiercely during the live. At the same time, he was advised to take the command of the party in his own hands while being wary of sycophants.

Senior Congress leader and former Punjab unit chief Sunil Jakhar quit the party today. A week after the party leadership issued a show-cause notice for criticizing former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Jakhar went live on Facebook and called the party “good luck” and “goodbye”. At the same time, before coming live, he had removed the identity of the Congress leader from the bio of his Twitter account. During the live, he targeted the leaders of Punjab Congress, political advisor Prashant Kishor, while reacting to the matter of receiving the letter.

Take charge of the party

Also gave advice to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He praised Rahul fiercely during the live. At the same time, he was advised to take the command of the party in his own hands while being wary of sycophants. Jakhar told Rahul that he should learn to decide who is his friend and who is the enemy. By not doing so, he is harming himself and the party. If this continues, then the name mark of the party will be erased.

Jakhar targets Ambika Soni

Jakhar took a jibe at Ambika Soni’s statement that “the CM of Punjab should be a Hindu”. Actually, Soni had destabilized the government in Punjab last year, then it was said that the CM of Punjab should be a Sikh. By doing this, he put an end to the possibility of Jakhar becoming the CM. In such a situation, targeting her, Jakhar said that Ambika’s statement has humiliated the Sikhs and Hindus of Punjab. He appealed to Sonia Gandhi to ask Ambika if she had any knowledge about Sikhism.

At the same time, targeting Tariq Anwar, who issued the notice, he said, “The thing to be seen is who has issued the notice. This is the same person who left the party and went to NCP because he demanded that a woman of foreign origin.” Didn’t become the Prime Minister of the country. Broke my heart.”

Channi was told responsible for the defeat

The disciplinary panel of AICC on 26 April suspended former Punjab Congress chief Jakhar from the party for two years. In fact, he had criticized former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and held him responsible for the party after the Congress’s defeat in Punjab by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

He had also criticized the party leadership for choosing Channi as the chief ministerial candidate in the election, and hit out at Ambika Soni for downplaying the chances of being elected as chief minister after Amarinder Singh’s expulsion.
