A 40-year-old woman allegedly attacked her 10-year-old nephew with a knife, seriously injuring him. The woman was clearly agitated over the non-attendance of her brother and sister-in-law to her mother’s funeral.
In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a 40-year-old woman allegedly attacked her 10-year-old nephew with a knife and seriously injured him. The woman was clearly agitated over the non-attendance of her brother and sister-in-law to her mother’s funeral. Inspector Mahendra Singh Thakur of Hanumanganj police station said on Sunday that the incident took place on Saturday in Qazi Camp area of Hanumanganj police station area.
He told that preliminary investigation has revealed that after the death of an elderly woman living here, her son and daughter-in-law could not come to Bhopal for the last rites. They both live in Jhansi. Thakur told that Asma Begum (40) got so angry on this matter that she stabbed her brother’s son Aman Ali (10), who was living with her several times with a knife and seriously injured him.
Thakur said that the seriously injured child has been admitted to the Government Hamidia Hospital. He said that a case has been registered against Asma under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. He hasn’t been arrested yet.
