In the posh Nehru Nagar area of Bhilai, some people not only ransacked the cafe of a young woman but also occupied it. The girl alleges that the attack was done by the landlord. It is pressurizing to vacate the shop before the lease agreement date. When the girl refused to vacate the cafe, he threatened to kill her and also got her attacked. After this, the girl stopped paying the rent and went to take the help of the police, then the landlord sent some goons and ransacked the cafe on Monday and occupied it. Supela police have registered a case on the complaint of the girl.
Victim Aakriti Awasthi told that Dhanora is a resident of Khamharia of Durg. He started the cafe in 2019 with a 5-year lease agreement with Shruti Syal to run a cafe adjacent to the park near the Gurudwara. He started his business called Tutu Tango Cafe by spending lakhs of rupees on the exterior and interior of the shop. According to the agreement, he paid the rent of 35 thousand rupees to the landlady on time. A few months ago, when the landlady asked him to vacate the shop, he refused to vacate the shop first as per the agreement. On this they threatened to kill him and also got him attacked.
He also complained to the police and stopped paying rent from May 2021. Due to this the landlady sent some goons to her cafe on Monday. Those goons barged inside the cafe at 11 am and took out Aakriti’s staff. They ransacked the shop by assaulting Aakriti and also looted Rs 10,000 from her counter. After this he called 112 and after a long time the police reached there. Supela Police Station is investigating the matter by registering a police complaint.
The victim is pleading to remove the goods from the shop
On talking to the victim Aakriti Awasthi, she told that she wants justice as per law. On complaining to the police, the landlord’s goons attacked him again on Monday evening and took over the cafe. All she wants from the police is to investigate the matter and take legal action and get her goods removed from the cafe, so that she can start her business elsewhere.
