In the US, the Pfizer vaccine has started to be administered to children over the age of 12 from May. By next year, there may be vaccination for children below the age of 12 as well.
On 23 July, the European Union approved Moderna’s vaccine for children. After which the children of 12 to 17 years of age will be given the Moderna vaccine.
On July 19, England approved the introduction of the Pfizer vaccine to children up to the age of 12. However, at present only children with morbidity are being given priority in the vaccine.
Israel started vaccination of children up to 16 years of age in January. In June, the vaccine was started for children up to 12 years of age.
