CM Mamta Banerjee met PM Modi, said – many issues including BSF and Corona were discussed

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. After this meeting, Mamta Banerjee has told that she discussed many issues including the jurisdiction of the Indian Security Force (BSF), the state’s relief fund, Corona with PM Modi.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Mamata Banerjee said she urged PM Modi to maintain the ‘federal structure’ in the country and keep Centre-state relations out of politics.

Trinamool Congress has shared a video on social media platform Koo, in which Mamta Banerjee said that ‘protecting the federal structure of our country should be the most important! We have deep respect for all institutions and central agencies. In the days to come, we look forward to better cooperation between the states and the Center to safeguard the interests of our people.

After meeting PM Modi, Mamta Banerjee told the media that ‘I have some issues related to West Bengal. There were many natural calamities in Bengal. We are entitled to funds. They have promised that we will be funded. I also told him that since we have a federal structure, so much power should not be given to BSF as law and order is affected in the state.

“I told them that the state will have to give you extra help, but it is important to maintain the federal structure. You can’t spoil it. I have asked to withdraw the law related to BSF,” he said.

Mamta Banerjee said that during the discussion about Corona was also done. However, no policy decision has been taken on this yet. I told him that we need more doses. Now schools are opening, so I told them to please talk to the expert committee about immunization of those under 18.”
