Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi today. Regarding this meeting, CM Shivraj said that along with being so practical, the central government is also visionary that when any logical issue is raised, the state, whether it is Madhya Pradesh or any other state, gets immediate cooperation. Shivraj said that the Government of India has given an incentive of Rs 1,55 crore to Madhya Pradesh this year. We managed the public assets properly by forming a public asset management company. Madhya Pradesh was the first state to do so.
CM Shivraj said that we have also made an SP for public asset management, when a government company, a government department does the work of managing assets, capital gains tax was not levied. But if you form a separate company, then capital gains tax is levied separately. Therefore, urged the Finance Minister that, even if we are doing it by forming a separate company, we are doing it under our own policy. Hence, no capital gains tax.
Many years old claim pending of 6 thousand crores
CM Shivraj informed that Madhya Pradesh purchases wheat and rice. After purchasing the rest of the things, we give it to the Government of India, we do it for the Government of India. They had many claims which were not settled because, it would have taken two 3 years when we would have distributed the purchases through PDS. After that they are set. Regarding this, it was requested to the Union Minister Piyush that, we have several years old claims pending for about Rs 6000 crore and they send bills from there many times in both the governments, if there is an affair to settle, then our discussion on that Hui.
