Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena held its mega rally at Bandra-Kurla Complex on Saturday, 14 May. Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray along with Aditya Thackeray and MP Sanjay Raut were also present in this rally organized at BKC. In the rally, CM Thackeray addressed scores of Shiv Sena cadre. During the address, Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray has targeted the BJP regarding unemployment and inflation. Although Aaditya Thackeray did not take the name of BJP during this time, but he did not miss to discuss Hindutva. In the rally, Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray said that
“Unemployment and inflation are rising in the country. Tension is created between different communities. We have fulfilled all our promises and this is the real Hindutva.”
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that “Shiv Sena and Maharashtra will not bow down to anyone. Shiv Sena will keep fighting and raise its voice.”
Uddhav Thackeray’s attack on Devendra Fadnavis
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has termed the BJP a party wearing a “mask of Hindutva”. Taking a jibe at former CM Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena chief Thackeray said, “He said our Hindutva is ‘donkey’. He is right, we abandoned that donkey two and a half years ago. After all, donkey is a donkey. Before that. They would kick us, we kicked some donkeys out.”
During this, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra also referred to the recent incident in which a Kashmiri Pandit was killed by terrorists. Maharashtra CM attacked the Center over the incident.
Shiv Sena chief questioned the Center over the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt and said “Rahul Bhat was killed by terrorists at the Tehsil office in Jammu and Kashmir, what will you (BJP) do now? Will you read Hanuman Chalisa there?”
In a big attack, CM Uddhav Thackeray said that he also targeted Eastern CM Fadnavis and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and claimed that they never took part in the freedom struggle. He questioned the contribution of RSS on the freedom struggle. CN Thackeray also said that Shiv Sena “wasted 25 years because of alliance with BJP”.
Municipal elections are going to be held in Mumbai, Thane and Nagpur in the coming time. Whether this rally will result in victory for Shiv Sena before the elections, it will be a matter to be seen.
