It is alleged that those who got less marks were called for the interview, those with higher marks did not get the call, those people were also called for the interview who did not even give the exam.
A complaint has been made to the Chief Minister’s Office and the Governor regarding the lack of transparent standards in the recruitment of Assistant Professors in the Botanical Department of Lucknow University. It has been said in this complaint that the advertisement of recruitment was taken out but the information about what would be the rules of screening was not uploaded on the portal of the university. Along with this, there are instructions of the Governor that after the examination, merit should be made of the marks obtained in the academic score and written score, on the basis of which the interview is being called. But neither academic nor written test scores were shown on the portal by the Department of Botany of Lucknow University, but were sent to everyone personally.
Not only this, there is no information on the portal that on what basis the people who were called in the interview have been called. The candidate named Chandresh Singh alleges that those who got less marks were called for the interview while those with more marks did not get the call. Not only this, those people were also called for the interview who did not even give the exam.
The candidates also allege that the rule is that the candidates have to give information 15 days before the interview, but for the recruitment in Lucknow University, the interview is on 9th, 10th and 11th and the mail has come on the 6th. These complaints regarding the recruitment of the university have been sent to the Chief Minister’s Office.
On the other hand, when talking to Dr. Nalini Pandey, Head of the Department of Botany regarding these complaints, she says that some complaints had come which were rectified. But about why the scores were not uploaded on the university’s website, he said that the scores have been sent to all the candidates individually. If anyone wants information, he can take it through RTI. They say that it cannot happen that without giving an exam, someone should be called for an interview.
