Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that Chinese President Xi Jinping had recently visited the region. He had gone a few kilometers north of the village a few days back, he said. The Congress leader said that the government is yet to respond to the situation, Prime Minister Modi should address the matter and inform the country about his efforts.

“We don’t understand that this definition is national security, where you threaten the entire country on issues of national security and remain silent on such things,” Singhvi said.

Accusing PM Modi of “deliberately backtracking” from addressing the potential threat, he claimed that the Prime Minister did not say a word about reports of infiltration threats in January 2019 and September-October 2021.
