Congress split in Sirmaur: Programs at different places on the birthday of former CM Virbhadra Singh; State unit engaged in damage control

Congress party in Himachal Pradesh is celebrating the 89th birthday of its leader and late former CM Virbhadra Singh as Vikas Diwas. During this, Sirmaur district Congress was seen to be split. One faction did the program in the district Congress office and the other faction in a restaurant. Seeing this, the state unit of Congress has started damage control.

On Thursday, Congress workers paid tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh by paying floral tributes at the portrait of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in the presence of State General Secretary Ajay Solanki at the District Congress Office at Nahan. On the other hand, Iqbal Mohammad and Sukhwinder Singh of Ajay Bahadur group along with other workers paid tribute to the late Chief Minister in a private restaurant near the DC office.

The Congress High Command has appointed former Assembly Speaker GR Musafir as in-charge till a new executive is formed. But, till now the district Congress leaders have not been able to come on one platform. While many big leaders of Nahan Congress remained absent from the program. In the election year, Congress is going among the public regarding the development works done by former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

In this episode, the birthday of the former Chief Minister is being celebrated by the Congress as Vikas Diwas. However, due to mutual divisions in the district, where the image of the party is getting tarnished. At the same time, workers are also scattered. Whose district is getting direct benefit to BJP in Sirmaur.
