Convenience for passengers: Bus service resumed for Nepal and Uttaranchal from today

There is good news for people going to Uttaranchal and Nepal. AC buses going to Nepal and Uttaranchal, which were closed last year due to the epidemic, will start again from Thursday. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has decided to take this bus in view of the passengers traveling by buses during the festive season, but people going to Uttaranchal and Bihar can also catch this bus from Delhi’s Kashmir Gate and Anand Vihar.

According to UPSRTC Divisional Manager AK Singh, at present eight buses are being run for Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun and five buses for Nepal and Porkha in Uttaranchal. Volvo and Scania buses contracted by UPSRTC used to run between Nepal and Uttarakhand before Corona started. Buses used to operate from Kashmere Gate in Delhi for Pokhara in Nepal and Anand Vihar for Mahendra Nagar. From there, AC buses were operated for Uttarakhand from Anand Vihar and Kashmere Gate in Delhi.

Additional buses will run for Uttaranchal and Nepal till Chhath Puja
AK Singh said that it has been decided to run 200 additional buses for the convenience of the passengers during the festive season. Buses have been reserved for this. For the convenience of passengers on Dussehra, Durga Puja, Deepawali and Chhath, additional buses will be run on different routes as per requirement. These buses will not be fixed any earlier route, on the spot the route on which there will be more passengers, buses will be started operating on the same route. Apart from this, teams will be deployed from place to place to prevent buses from traveling on the roof, so that passengers cannot travel on the roof to avoid accidents.
