Pyongyang, ANI. Corona has engulfed the whole world for the last two years. North Korea was talking about not having a single corona infection during the last two years. But the Korean government has accepted the knock of Corona in the country. The Kim Jong Un government has publicly confirmed that there is corona in the country. Korea admitted in the past that the first death due to corona has occurred in the country, and millions of people are suffering from unknown fever.

According to the official news agency KCNA, Kim Jong Un has described infection cases of COVID-19 in North Korea as the country’s most serious emergency since independence. Kim Jong Un said ‘the country is facing the biggest challenge since the establishment of the republic’.

The number of infected crossed five lakhs

According to KCNA, Kim said the country should focus on implementing anti-coronavirus measures and promote them to contain the spread of the disease. According to KCNA news agency, 17,400 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the country, taking the total number of infections to 520,000.

Notably, according to the Sputnik News Agency, 21 new people also died due to the coronavirus cases. North Korea reported its first coronavirus deaths on Friday. At least six people were confirmed dead in the country yesterday.

Declaration of emergency in the country

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), there has been a stir in North Korea after the Corona explosion. Due to the increasing number of new cases every day, the government has started taking strict steps. On Thursday, the government has declared a ‘major national emergency’ following the report of the Omicron variant case of Corona. Leader Kim Jong Un has adopted a ‘maximum emergency’ virus control system to overcome corona and unknown fever in the country. Kim Jong Un pledges to ‘end’ virus from North Korea. With this, North Korea’s coronavirus-free claim has ended.

Kim vowed that the “unexpected crisis” would be resolved. He further directed all the officials to block every possibility to contain the spread of the virus.

According to the Yonhap news agency, the North Korean leader ordered strict border vigil on all fronts, air and sea, to prevent a “security vacuum” in the country’s national defence. North Korean officials also said that samples collected from patients with fever were identical to the Omicron type.

However, North Korea insisted it was trying to control and stop the spread of the virus. State media further reported that the country would provide treatment to omicron-identified patients to “root out the source of infection in the shortest possible time”.
