New Delhi, Business Desk. D-Mart on Saturday said its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2022 posted a growth of 3.11 per cent at Rs 426.75 crore. Avenue Supermarts said in a BSE filing that the company had posted a net profit of Rs 413.87 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago.
Its revenue from operations grew 18.55 per cent to Rs 8,786.45 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 7,411.68 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Avenue Supermarts’ total expenses grew 18.71 per cent to Rs 8,210.13 crore in Q4 FY2021-22 from Rs 6,916.24 crore a year ago.
Avenue Supermarts’ consolidated net profit grew 35.74 per cent to Rs 1,492.40 crore for the financial year ended March 2022. In the last financial year, it had posted a net profit of Rs 1,099.43 crore. Its revenue from operations grew 28.3 per cent to Rs 30,976.27 crore in 2021-22. It was Rs 24,143.06 crore in FY 2011.

Neville Noronha, CEO & MD, Avenue Supermarts said that the strong recovery again in the month of March 2022 and the kind of growth as in March 2021 was very satisfactory. He said that D-Mart’s FMCG business is doing well. The value proposition is clearly being seen by our customers in this segment.
He said that our store footprint is continuously increasing across the country. We had set a record this year mainly due to late opening due to covid last year. He said that each has its own unique magic. We will operate both the channels to the best of our ability with a mindset to improve upon these principles. This will ensure that the value for the buyer remains supreme.
