Panipat DC Sushil Kumar Sarwan took to the streets like a common man to see the condition of the markets during the festive season. There were no officers and employees with him. DC tasted Chiman Lal’s famous shortbread and vegetables at Halwai Hatta, Panipat. DC discussed with the local people and traders about the jam of the markets during about two hours. Seeing this move of DC, the townspeople were seen praising him.

The market gets crowded during the festive season. Due to which there is always traffic jam. Anyway, Panipat is an industrial city. People from far and wide come here to get blankets and quilts. In view of this, the district administration has banned the entry of big vehicles in the main markets along with making the railway road one-way from Wednesday.

DC went on a tour of the city without Lav-Lashkar
DC Sushil Sarwan also went out like a common man to take stock of the markets. He reached Hatta, the busiest confectioner in the city, without any Lashkar. Due to the narrow lanes here, there is often a situation of jam. During his two-hour visit, DC discussed how to get rid of the market jam by the common people and traders. People cited the traffic of commercial vehicles as the main reason for the jam on the roads. DC has assured to get rid of the market jam by making a plan with the officials.

Tasted shortbread and vegetables sitting with common people
Chiman Lal’s Kachori and Sabzi located at Halwai Hatta is famous. DC Sushil Sarwan sat with the common people and tasted the kachoris and vegetables. People praised DC after seeing DC sitting with him and meeting him with simplicity.
