The body of a youth of Korba district was found on the banks of Mahanadi in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. The youth was originally a resident of Kanshinagar located in Budhwari, Korba. Injury marks were found on the neck of the dead body. And his face is also burnt. The family members have expressed suspicion of murder. The name of the deceased was Linesh Sahu (35 years).
Linesh Sahu (35 years) was living with his wife in Kharsia in Raigad district for some years. He was a carpenter there. A few days ago, he had come to his parents’ house in Kanshi Nagar of Korba. On Sunday morning, Linesh had left for some work to go to Sakti district on his bike. Since then he has not returned home. Since that day his mobile was also getting switched off. Linesh’s parents called the daughter-in-law to Kharsia and asked about the son, but she told that he had not reached there either. The troubled relatives also searched the relatives’ place, but there was no trace of Linesh.
On Wednesday, the Sarpanch of Charra village informed the Sarangarh police that the body of an unidentified person was lying on the banks of the Mahanadi. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot along with the team force. The police brought out the dead body lying in the water on the banks of the river. The corpse was swollen due to being in the water. Aadhar card was found from his shirt pocket, due to which the deceased youth could be identified. After this the police contacted the Baradwar police of Janjgir-Champa district. After this his family living in Korba was informed. The relatives of the deceased have reached Sarangarh from Korba.
Lineesh’s brother Chandrachuda Sahu says that his brother’s face is burnt. Marks of stab wounds are also visible on the dead body. He told that his brother was having a dispute over money transaction and hence he was murdered. At present, the police is involved in the investigation and the statements of the relatives and the acquaintances of the deceased are being recorded.
