In Danapur, Patna, a young man who went out to the market to bring medicine for his mother had gone missing 20 days ago. The family had expressed the suspicion that the youth was murdered. After a lot of searching, when no trace of the youth was found, the family lodged a missing person case at Shahpur police station.
Shahpur police detained some youths on the basis of suspicion in the case. In the course of interrogation, the youths had told that after killing the missing Manish Kumar, his body was buried in a closed quarter of Nehura Colony under Shahpur police station.
The police had searched the quarter late last night on the basis of suspicion. As it was night, no clue was found. Today when the police dug the pit and saw, the body was found there. The body has been sent for post-mortem at present. Police station in-charge Shabbir Alam has confirmed this.

The victim Kunti Devi, a resident of Bandhutola Hathiakandh Sarai of Shahpur police station area, told that on September 3, her son had gone to a nearby market to get medicine. But when he did not return till late in the night, he started worrying. His mobile also started going off. A day later his mobile was switched on, on which another person said that he was speaking from Sultanganj police station. Saying this switched off the mobile.
The victim had requested for investigation by giving a written application to Shahpur police station regarding the possibility of any untoward incident with the son. After this the police took action and recovered the body.
