Demanded 1 crore by blackmailing in Hisar: Former councilor’s contractor son lodged a case against husband and wife, former BJP councilor of Hansi

A case of blackmailing and threatening has been registered against former councilor and BJP leader Seemant Chaudhary of Hansi city of Haryana, his wife former councilor Mona Chaudhary and 8-10 others. Seemant Chaudhary is a member of the Hindu Mahasabha and a member of the Monitoring Committee. They are accused of demanding one crore rupees by forming a gang by complaining about the lack of quality of development works. Mukesh Bansal, the contractor son of former councilor Kamla Bansal from Hisar, has filed a case against the accused under IPC 34, 385, 501, 506. The case has been registered after the investigation done by the DSP after sending the complaint to Home Minister Anil Vij on August 18.

According to the complaint of Sunder Nagar resident contractor Mukesh Bansal, his A class government contractor firm. His firm has been getting quality work done in about 5-6 districts under the Urban Local Bodies Department. Now his firm is working to build a road from Kali Devi Temple in Hansi to Vishwakarma Chowk. But stating the shortcomings in this work, Mona Chaudhary, former councilor of Ward 18, her husband Seemant Chaudhary, is being gang-mailed and blackmailed continuously. Complaints are constantly being given by the accused in different departments alleging deficiency in their work. They are accusing the construction work of being substandard, while their work has been found correct in the investigation.

According to Mukesh Bansal, Jitendra, Rahul JE and Light Inspector Sandeep told him that Seemant Chaudhary is demanding an amount of one crore to withdraw the complaint. When he talked to Seemant Chaudhary about this, he asked for money and said that if you do not give money, then I will not allow you to do any work in Hansi and will continue to make false complaints against you like this, I will file false cases. I was also threatened with death and kidnapping for not paying me the money.

While talking about the allegations, Seemant Chaudhary said that irregularities are being done continuously in the works being done in Hansi. He has never met or spoken to this contractor. The road built by the contractor at a cost of crores has been broken in a few months. Apart from this, there has also been a disturbance in the installation of street lights in Hansi, which he has complained about. Due to the complaints given by him, the contractors are afraid of recovery, for this reason a case has been registered to put pressure on him.
