Atul Agarwal, a 34-year-old CA, Khanna, a young member of a seven-member panel formed to discuss with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to fix technical glitches in the income tax portal, has died of dengue. Atul Agarwal’s father CA Anil Agarwal and his elder brother Raghav Agarwal are senior doctors. Atul leaves behind his wife and two-year-old daughter. This is the second case of dengue death after August 25.
But this death has not been confirmed by the health department. While according to SPS Hospital, Atul died due to dengue shock syndrome. At the same time, 19 new dengue patients have been confirmed in the district. Of these, 18 patients belong to Ludhiana and 1 is related to another district. So far 569 dengue patients have been confirmed in the district. Of these, 345 are from Ludhiana. There are 171 patients from other districts and 53 from other states. 311 patients have been discharged. While the treatment of 34 is going on. At the same time, patients are giving priority to treatment in private hospitals instead of government. The dengue ward built in the civil hospital is still locked due to lack of any patients.
Patients going to private hospitals
When the dengue report came positive, I got admitted to the private hospital in Islamganj itself. Many are sent here and there to government hospitals. Which causes trouble.
Everyone is aware of the plight of the government hospital. In such a situation, we thought it better to get treatment in a private hospital itself. If the government hospital improves, then we will definitely get the treatment done there.
