On Wednesday, 10 new dengue cases were found in the district, taking the total figure to 349. Of the new cases that came on Wednesday, 5 are from Ropar city, 3 from Bharatgarh and 2 from Nangal. At the same time, a case of suspected death due to dengue has been reported in Ropar district. It is not yet clear whether the patient died of dengue. This matter is said to be old.
In this regard, Civil Surgeon Dr. Parminder Kumar says that it is being reviewed at the state level, only after the report comes, it will be clear whether the death is due to dengue or any other reason. Similarly, 201 cases have been reported in Ropar urban area, 84 in Bharatgarh, 38 in Nangal, 11 in Kiratpur Sahib, 6 in Nurpurbedi, 9 in Chamkaur Sahib. Of these, 8 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. 3 more patients are admitted in Ropar Civil Hospital and rest in private hospitals.
Presently 31 dengue cases are active in the district and 318 cases have been recovered. According to the information received from the Health Department, dengue larvae were destroyed from a total of 56 places in Ropar city by 8 teams of Medical Department. 3 challans were also done by the department. Health department teams are also making people aware about prevention of dengue that people should not allow water to accumulate in empty utensils, tyres, pots etc. lying on the roofs of their houses. Dengue mosquito breeds only in clean water.
