It is almost certain that after 30 days, Draupadi Murmu will be the next President of the country. Yesterday, that is, on Tuesday, the BJP and its allies decided the name of Draupadi. These things were happening in Delhi, but then Draupadi was at her home in Mahuldiha, her village in Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Together there was a daughter Itishree.

Itishree told that a call came in the evening, probably from Prime Minister Modi. Whatever he said, but mother fell silent after that. There were tears in her eyes, she could not say anything. After a while, I could just say thank you and that too with great difficulty.

‘This moment is like a dream for mother’
On her request, Itishree got Draupadi to talk, for just 15 seconds. Draupadi said that this moment is historic for me, tribals and women. Later Itishree told that the mother told him that it was like a dream. The journey from the hut to the top post can only be a dream. The people of the tribal community do not even see such a dream.

She went into depression after the death of her husband and both sons.
In an interview, Draupadi Murmu had told that she comes from the tribal Santhal society. His family was very poor, so his initial aim was to maintain a family by doing only a small job. He got his job, but had to leave at the behest of his in-laws. When he did not feel like it, he started teaching children for free. This is where his social service started.

Contested and won the first election in 1997
In 1997, she contested for the first time as councilor of Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat and won. She got MLA ticket in 2000 and won this election as well. After that she became a minister. After losing the election in 2009, she came to the village. But in the meantime, the son died in an accident, after which she went into depression. As she came out of the shock of the death of one son, in 2013, another son also died in an accident. Then in 2014 she also lost her husband. After this she was completely broken, but by gathering courage, she threw herself into social service.

Got Z+ Security
After being elected as the Presidential candidate, Draupadi Murmu has been given Z + security cover by the Center. She will be under the protection of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at all times from today i.e. from Wednesday itself. A contingent of armed soldiers has started guarding them since morning. After getting the security cover, Murmu went to his assembly in Rairangpur to visit Jagganath temple and Shiva temple. He planted a broom in the Shiva temple and offered prayers.
