In Chhattisgarh’s Surguja district, the police has taken the biggest action against drugs so far. The Surguja police have caught brown sugar and heroin worth Rs one crore 10 lakh here. The police had come to know that a paddler from Surguja, along with the people of Jharkhand and Bilaspur, buys and sells drugs. Gandhinagar Police has taken this action.
In this case, the police have arrested 3 accused including a woman. 500 grams of brown sugar and 110 grams of heroin have been recovered from accused Geeta Soni (48), 105 grams of brown sugar from another accused Mrityunjay Gupta (52) and 20 grams of brown sugar from Russell Ekka (23). In this way, a total of 625 grams of brown sugar and 110 grams of heroin have been caught. Geeta Soni is a resident of Sasaram in Bihar, Mrityunjay is a resident of Garhwa of Jharkhand and Russell Ekka is a resident of Sakin Namnakala of Ambikapur.
In fact, Gandhinagar police had received information that Russell, who lives in the city, along with people from Jharkhand and Bihar, buys and sells heroin and brown sugar. It was also learned that some people from Jharkhand are going to come to Surguja with drugs. Russell is waiting for her near Shivdhari Colony Pratappur Naka. The police team reached the spot, from where the three accused Russell, Geeta and Mrityunjay have been arrested. Even during the interrogation, the accused could not give any concrete answer, so they were arrested. The police disclosed this whole matter on Wednesday. At present, the police are interrogating these accused.
