Sons, Bathida: On one hand the education department claims to provide English medium education to the children in government schools, while on the other hand, till now students in government schools have not been able to get English medium books of many subjects, while next month in December First term exams are starting. The most troubled are those students who have left private schools and joined government schools and now their studies are getting worse due to non-availability of English medium books.

Government school students have not been able to get English medium books on social education, science and maths, whereas when they left private schools and joined government schools, the education department had promised to provide books. Now they feel cheated. Although some students got books, but most were told that if the department gives books, then books will be given. Due to this, students are facing difficulties in studying for the upcoming examinations. At the same time, the children who have got books earlier, have also been given by the teachers by taking books from old students. Students studying in Punjabi and English only, there are 398 primary schools and 276 senior secondary schools in the district. On the other hand, books have been given to all the students in the blocks where the students are less, whereas in the blocks where the students are more, the students have not been able to get the books. That’s why students are completing their syllabus in Punjabi and English medium only, while board classes and non board classes exams are starting in December. In such a situation, students have less than a month left. To avoid the problem, students are using help books. quotes

This time of students is very important for studies. Therefore, the education department should provide complete books to the students as soon as possible. If the books are not received, the school may have to face difficulties in the enrollment process in the coming time.
