The G20 Education Working Group (EDWG) meeting on February 1 and 2 in Chennai will focus on ensuring foundational literacy and numeracy, especially in the context of hybrid education, which involves technology-based learning at all levels to be more inclusive, qualitative and collaborative making is included.
In addition, the EDWG meeting will also focus on capacity building, fostering lifelong learning for future employability, strengthening research and fostering innovation through rich collaborations and partnerships.
In the meeting, the education department of Tamil Nadu will participate in an exhibition based on ‘Nan Mudalvan’ and ‘Naam Palli’. Prior to this, a seminar on ‘Role of Digital Technology in Education’ will be held at the Research Park of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
Prominent participants from Tamil Nadu including Nan Mudalvan/EDII-Tanseem/Guidance Bureau/TNSDC/Nama Palli besides government initiatives like Bharat Swayam, Samarth, DIKSHA and ‘Startup India Education for Physically Challenged-Dyslexia and Bipolar Disorder’ Huh. Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), France, China, Netherlands and UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) will also participate in the seminar.
An official release issued in Chennai said, “The meeting has been organized with the intention of creating a flexible and inclusive education and skilling ecosystem and to develop the creative potential of each learner, which is clearly mentioned in the National Education Policy-2020.” Has been done.”
The G20 meeting will provide an opportunity to share whatever India has achieved in the education sector at the global level, the release said. At the same time, it will also give an opportunity to know and learn from the best practices of education around the world.
International organizations including 13 member countries of the G20 group and guest countries will participate in the seminar to be held at the Research Park of IIT Madras.
