G20 Summit: PM Modi said – Afghanistan should not become a source of radicalism and terrorism, the world will have to be alert

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually participated in the G20 summit on Tuesday. In his address, the Prime Minister said that the world has to take care that Afghanistan does not become a source of radicalization and terrorism. For this the world has to make joint efforts.

The Prime Minister also discussed India’s role in the development of Afghanistan. Modi told in the meeting how India played an important role in the development of Afghanistan for the last two decades. The PM also informed that more than 500 projects were completed with the help of India to change the socio-economic condition in Afghanistan.

This also improved the condition of the youth and women there. These efforts created a feeling of special friendship between the people of India and Afghanistan. In such a situation, the whole of India is saddened by the human tragedy and starvation there. PM Modi appealed to the international community to stand with the needy people of Afghanistan in this crisis.

The meeting was focused on Afghanistan

This extraordinary meeting of the G-20, a group of 20 powerful countries of the country, was specially called to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. The meeting was organized by Italy, which currently holds the presidency of the grouping countries.

PM Modi called for inclusive governance in Afghanistan. He expressed support for the important role of the United Nations in Afghanistan. Modi called for the G20’s renewed support for the message contained in UN Security Council Resolution 2593 on Afghanistan.
