Gajendra Singh said – Sachin Pilot made a mistake: if it was like Madhya Pradesh, 13 districts would not remain thirsty, ERCP would have started

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said – Sachin Pilot made a slight mistake in Rajasthan. There was a slight flaw in the pilot. If everything went well in Rajasthan like Madhya Pradesh, work on the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) would have started by now. I say today responsibly. Just as the MLAs of Madhya Pradesh decided after 2018 in 2020. In the same way, if it had happened in Rajasthan, 13 districts would not have been thirsty till now.

Gehlot is sitting on ERCP with a horoscope
Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also addressed the meeting of BJP’s Janakrosh rally in Chaumu, Jaipur on Monday night. He said- Gehlot is sitting on ERCP with a horoscope only for political gains. To quench the thirsty throats of 13 districts, the Rajasthan government has to amend the project and send it to the Government of India. If the government sends amendments today, then I will get this scheme implemented in 2 months. If they (Gehlot government) do not send them in two months, then you should send them in 2023. After that its (BJP) government will come, it will get it implemented. I want to tell the people of these 13 districts that this government only wants to do politics.

I called a meeting 7 times, Gehlot’s minister did not come
Shekhawat said- When Gehlot became the Chief Minister and discussed the ERCP, the first objection was raised by the Chief Minister of the then Congress government of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath. He had said that this scheme is not according to the rules of the Central Government. Therefore it should be improved. In 2019, when I became the Minister of Jal Shakti, a meeting of ministers-officers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh was called. Officers may come, but ministers of the Gehlot government are probably afraid to come to my office. Gehlot sahib’s son (Vaibhav Gehlot) was defeated by the people of Jodhpur by a huge margin of votes. After that no minister or sentry from Rajasthan comes to my office. He gets scared. I called a meeting 7 times, the minister did not come. Discussed with the officials seven times, that a way out should be found. Agreed to Madhya Pradesh and sent a letter to the Rajasthan government asking you to prepare and send this scheme on 75% dependability. I will approve it immediately.

Along with Union Minister Gajendra Singh, many leaders of the organization including BJP State President Satish Poonia, MP Sumedhanand Saraswati, MLA Ramlal Sharma were present.

The work of filling more than 30 dams will be completed
Apart from this, there are more than 30 dams in these 13 districts, in which I will complete the work of filling water in the next 5 years and the Government of India will complete this scheme. It is unfortunate that the present government of Rajasthan does not have to do this work and do not provide water to the people. In the name of water, by doing politics in the name of your dry and thirsty throats, they are watching with a greedy eye to go back to the chair of power.
